About the Role

The Central Adelaide Local Health Network seeks an experienced Mental Health Nurse Leader to join their team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will utilize your clinical expertise and knowledge to coordinate consumer care delivery in a dedicated care unit or team.

You will be responsible for line management and coordination of nursing and multidisciplinary team activities, ensuring continuity and quality in patient care. Your leadership will foster a positive work culture and enhance team performance, focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes for consumers.

As a qualified mental health professional with strong leadership and communication skills, you will accept accountability for the outcomes of nursing practices and multidisciplinary efforts. You will actively address any inconsistencies between practice and policy, upholding the principles of the National Mental Health Policy and the Standards for Mental Health Services.

About You

  • Qualified Mental Health Professional – Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a qualification equivalent to a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
  • Strong Leadership & Communication Skills – Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Innovative Care Model Developer – Experience in reviewing and enhancing person- and family-centred care models, with a commitment to consumer and carer participation.
  • Experienced Mentor & Change Leader – Minimum three years' post-registration experience, with demonstrated competence in leadership roles and the supervision of less experienced staff.
