About This Opportunity

Boral, a leading Australian-owned and operated company, is seeking an experienced Driver Trainer/Assessor to join their Cement Supply Chain and Logistics department. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining a skilled and competent workforce within the business.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Conducting certificate-level on and off-the-job technical and knowledge-based training and assessment to standard acceptable by Boral RTO and regulatory requirements.
  • Recording training events and uploading evidence to Boral's Learning Management System.
  • Referring to verification of evidence, developing, recording in Learning Management System, and issuing Induction, Competency, and VoC wallet cards for workers.
  • Facilitating and supporting line managers with training needs and the development of their people, communicating progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Completing administration functions in the sign-up process for employees commencing a certificate-level training program and completing all training and assessment documentation.
  • In conjunction with learners, reviewing Trainer/Learner responsibilities throughout the training program and providing ongoing monitoring and feedback.
  • Assisting in the development, review, and updating of Training Materials, SOPs, and SWMS.
  • Recommending solutions to improve training and/or training materials when gaps are identified.

What We Are Looking For

  • Cert IV Trainer and Assessor (or completion of the qualification as soon as possible if not already qualified).
  • A valid driver's license (HC minimum).
  • Ideally 3 years of relevant industry experience in heavy vehicle training and assessing but not essential.
  • Experience in the operation of a variety of heavy vehicles.
  • In-depth knowledge of Road Rules, heavy vehicle national law requirements for drivers, and Chain of Responsibility.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
