About Us

At Evolve Scientific, we're seeking a skilled Toolmaker/Fitter to join our team in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne. As a casual on-going contract with potential to go permanent, you'll have the opportunity to work with our experienced Maintenance Manager to ensure the upkeep of all production machinery across our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuous and thorough upkeep of all production machinery
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager to identify and address potential risks to plant and equipment
  • Provide valuable feedback on plant improvements, preventative maintenance, and efficiency gains
  • Ensure safety issues are addressed with a sense of urgency
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, overhauls, small project work, and fabrication work

Requirements

  • Trade certified Toolmaker certificate
  • Strong experience in maintenance and reliability within plastics, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or other highly regulated industries
  • Proven experience in maintenance, fabrication, and troubleshooting in a high-pressure environment
  • Familiarity with Injection Moulding machines and Computer Maintenance Management systems
  • Electrical D-license (desired)
  • Ability to work unsupervised and possess excellent communication skills
