Key Role: General Manager, Information Technology

The organisation is on a significant growth trajectory, having recently expanded into regional Victoria and continuing to explore further opportunities.

To support this growth, the organisation is making substantial investments in its infrastructure, including a major digital transformation program aimed at modernising systems, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring future scalability.

This investment also includes the redevelopment of key sites and facilities to meet the evolving needs of residents and employees.

A dynamic leader is sought to drive the strategy of their IT function and execute the organisation's digital transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will drive the group's long-term technology strategy and ensure the group's systems and infrastructure are secure, integrated and future ready.

The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded and forward-thinking IT leader with experience driving digital transformation, systems integration and enterprise infrastructure within complex, multi-site environments ideally in the health or aged care sector.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing a technology strategy that aligns with the organisation's overall business objectives;
  • Leading a high-performing IT team to deliver business outcomes and enhance service delivery;
  • Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers and suppliers;
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of the organisation's systems and data;
  • Driving innovation and continuous improvement through the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as an IT leader, preferably in a similar-sized organisation;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders;
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in IT service management and systems integration;
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team, with a focus on employee engagement and retention;
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive business outcomes and enhance service delivery.
