Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned epidemiologist and research associate to join our team in conducting high-quality research centered on aged and healthcare services for older people.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research with a focus on quality and safety of care in aged care, medication safety, and integrated care.
  • Furthermore, they will facilitate activities of federally funded projects focusing on individuals in aged care settings.
  • The ideal candidate will work independently and collaboratively with the research team, research partners, consumer representatives, staff, and stakeholders of the research projects.
  • They will also conduct analyses of large datasets contained within our system, including aged care data, Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme data, Medicare Benefits Schedule data, and hospitalisation records.
  • In addition, they will prepare papers for publication in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
  • The successful candidate will participate in the dissemination of research findings at appropriate conferences.

Requirements

  • A degree qualification in a relevant field is required, along with extensive relevant experience.
  • The ideal candidate should possess excellent proficiency working with SAS, R, or Stata.
  • Experience working with large datasets independently is also essential.
  • Demonstrating excellent epidemiological and biostatistical knowledge is crucial.
