Job Title: Business Portfolio Strategist

About the Role

This key position involves leading and developing business ranges across multiple propositions. The ideal candidate will have experience building trusted supplier partnerships and negotiating with Tier 1 FMCG supply partners.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead, develop, and manage our business ranges across multiple propositions by working alongside key internal and external stakeholders to drive commercial growth for Woolworths at Work.
  • Maintain the product range for business customers through monitoring and reporting on range performance and conducting regular range reviews.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure outcomes that deliver value to our customers.
  • Collaborate with key internal business partners to help achieve the strategic ambitions of the business.
  • Develop and implement portfolio strategy, including category expansion initiatives from end to end.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience in building trusted supplier partnerships and an ability to negotiate with Tier 1 FMCG supply partners.
  • Strong commercial acumen, ideally in a buying and trading environment, with knowledge of end-to-end category strategy, pricing, promotions, and portfolio management.
  • Able to work cross-functionally and influence multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ability to clearly understand and address problems, causes, and solutions to seek continual improvement.
  • Strategically minded with the ability to identify wider market trends and opportunities, lead programs of change, and engage stakeholders effectively.
