Credit Union Australia is on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Lead to become a vital part of our team.

In this role, you will take charge of executing and enhancing Credit Union Australia's Testing Strategy across your designated projects.

Your expertise will be crucial in developing and applying testing methodologies for projects, which encompass essential tasks such as test planning, stakeholder engagement, reporting, test automation, resource allocation, and risk management.

This position offers flexibility, allowing for a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, implement, and oversee a Testing Strategy for Credit Union Australia's key initiatives
  • Formulate, execute, and continuously improve testing strategies and plans with supporting processes, methodologies, and metrics across both functional and non-functional testing phases
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, strategy development, resource planning, execution, analysis, and reporting for all testing activities
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the Testing Team, ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery across System, Functional, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing phases
  • Ensure that partners and third-party vendors comply with Credit Union Australia's quality standards and that testing processes are aligned with the organization's protocols.
  • Oversee the defect management process and tools, ensuring the quality of reported issues and adherence to the established defect lifecycle, including ownership of defect triage
  • Deliver high-quality verbal and visual test reporting metrics to project stakeholders, reflecting relevant test development progress, execution, and defect status
  • Coordinate test execution across various project streams for multiple testing cycles and phases.
About You:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Test Manager/Lead in complex integration projects, preferably within the financial services sector
  • At least 5 years of experience in Testing within software development projects at both Test Analyst and Senior Test Analyst levels
  • Proven experience in managing Testing Teams with diverse resources across various testing disciplines, utilizing both onshore and offshore models
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality written documentation
  • Extensive experience in crafting Testing Strategies, Test Plans, and related documentation
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multiple software development methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience in managing Vendors and ensuring accountability for quality
  • Experience in planning, managing, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Self-driven and proactive, capable of adhering to clearly defined plans or organizing your own workload to meet tight deadlines
