Pig Farming Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pig Farmer to manage the daily operations of our farm with minimal supervision.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position that requires strong communication and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the farm from farrow to finish, including breeding, farrowing, weaning, and growing, as well as feeding management, administrative tasks, and general maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operation of the farm with minimal supervision
- Implement efficient feeding management systems
- Conduct administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and reporting
- Perform general maintenance tasks, such as equipment repair and cleaning
- Lead small teams or groups and train new members
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or higher equivalent
- At least 3 years' recent relevant work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advance knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare, and legislation, piggery production, and OH&S
- Knowledge in computer programs/software (an advantage)
