About the Role

We are seeking a Data Science Leader to drive high-impact initiatives across Home and Motor Claims. This is a delivery-focused role that will leverage data, AI and ML to enhance claims performance and optimize cost management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver key Data Science projects to drive business outcomes
  • Guide a team of analytics partners through AI/ML initiatives
  • Design and implement scalable predictive models and advanced analytics solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate insights into operational outcomes
  • Partner with Tech & Ops teams to enhance our data infrastructure
  • Identify and lead high-impact AI/ML opportunities
  • Ensure compliance, ethical use, and governance of all data science outputs

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Actuarial, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science)
  • 5+ years' experience in Data Science or related advanced analytics roles
  • Proven experience solving commercial problems using machine learning and AI
  • Strong capability in Python, Databricks and DBT
  • Experience working with unstructured data, LLMs, or NLP frameworks highly regarded
  • Commercial focus and a growth mindset
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills
