We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Aboriginal Cultural Healing Therapist to lead our team in providing culturally safe therapeutic services to Aboriginal children and families.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to apply their knowledge of holistic healing principles, underpinned by VACCA's Cultural Therapeutic Ways framework, in a dynamic and supportive environment.

  • Deliver high-quality therapeutic services to meet the needs of Aboriginal children and families.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Western Melbourne Area, fostering collaborative partnerships and outcomes.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A proven commitment to the values that underpin our vision and purpose.
  • An awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures.
  • An understanding of child development, strength-based trauma-informed practice specific to sexual assault and the impact of trauma.
  • The ability to develop culturally appropriate service responses for Aboriginal communities in the Western Melbourne Area.

Requirements include:

  • Tertiary qualification and relevant experience working in a therapeutic or cultural healing context.
  • A full Victorian Driver's Licence, current Working With Children Check card and clear National Police Check.
