Job Description:

The Thrift Shop Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth and providing an exceptional customer experience. As the leader of a retail site, you will be responsible for maximizing sales and profitability while maintaining a high-energy environment that inspires team members, customers, and community members alike.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position that requires a high level of accountability, passion, and dedication to making a difference. You will be expected to lead, grow, and develop a team of paid employees and volunteers, ensuring extraordinary customer service every day in every interaction.

A successful Thrift Shop Manager will champion exceptional operational and visual merchandise standards, role-model a 'safety first' culture, and plan and manage the financial performance of the store.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant retail industry experience as a store manager with specific experience in leading effective teams, cash handling, financial management, and store operations.
  • Certificate in qualification in Retail or Business (Desirable)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Solid technical skills and experience using Workday HCM system experience (Desirable).
  • A current First Aid Certificate or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Reasonable physical fitness with the ability to safely sit, stand, walk regularly for long periods of time; push, pull, lift, carry items up to 10 kilos in weight and climb ladders.
