About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team as an Advanced Technical Specialist. This role will involve working on complex engineering projects, providing technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers, and contributing to the development of engineering standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply advanced engineering techniques and concepts to resolve unique problems
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to junior engineers on projects of medium to high complexity
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating engineering standards and guidelines
  • Serve as a technical specialist and provide consultation and guidance to project teams
Work Environment

This role will be based in a typical office environment, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and hazards.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements
  • Minimum 11 years related water or wastewater project experience in Australia
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification in either Victoria or Queensland
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
