About the Role

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our ICT projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the purpose and status of projects, ensuring all project goals and timeframes are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver projects that have an agency-wide impact, developing, implementing, and evaluating project plans and schedules in accordance with our project management framework.
  • Collaborate with staff in the immediate work area and with internal and external stakeholders to oversee project design, governance arrangements, and operational integration, ensuring project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Lead and manage staff, overseeing the management of performance, attendance, and health and wellbeing, developing staff capability through coaching and succession planning, and providing high-level strategic advice and feedback to stakeholders and the agency's executive.
  • Research, review, and evaluate projects within a section or specialist area, reporting on project objectives and outputs for presentation to the executive, and overseeing ongoing project reporting.
  • Manage and monitor financial budgets, overseeing the management of contracts, procurement, resources, and expenditure, identifying, assessing, managing, escalating, reporting, and monitoring project risks, issues, and benefits.
  • Manage and lead change, actively contributing to and implementing the agency's strategic direction, engaging, negotiating, and managing key strategic stakeholder relationships to deliver projects and respond to changes in needs and expectations.
  • Represent and negotiate on behalf of the agency to advance the agency's interests at external, cross-agency, inter-jurisdictional, and other forums, exercising delegations appropriate to the role in accordance with legislation and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Must have NV1 clearance.
  • Initially 12 months with 2x12 months of extensions.
