We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Early Stroke Discharge (ESD) program at Eastern Health. The successful candidate will have experience in neurological rehabilitation and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Grade 2 Occupational Therapist to work primarily based at the Angliss Community Rehabilitation Centre in Upper Ferntree Gully, with occasional coverage of the Peter James Centre site in Burwood.

As an ESD service provider, you will be working in a community-based multidisciplinary setting, supporting patients transitioning from bed-based services to their own homes. You will be responsible for managing a complex caseload using a client-centred approach and collaborating with other disciplines to achieve client-centred goals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in the area of neurological rehabilitation
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to enable development of a good rapport with clients and staff
  • Clinical skills in managing a complex caseload using a client-centred approach
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines to achieve client-centred goals
  • Demonstrated confidence and interest in teaching occupational therapy students on top of clinical caseload
