The Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our team at Huon Aquaculture Company Pty Ltd, located near Devonport in Tasmania. Our Parramatta Creek Processing and Smokehouse facility is a state-of-the-art salmon processing plant that distributes its products across Tasmania, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.

The Role

As a Salmon Production Specialist at Huon, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Weighing, sorting, trimming, and packaging of salmon products
  • Rostered shifts will be from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and public holiday work required
  • Full-time and casual positions available, including day and afternoon shifts for our Hygiene team

About You

Experience working in a production or food processing environment, particularly with knowledge of Food Safety, hygiene, and Work Health & Safety regulations, will be highly regarded. Previous knife-hand/filleting experience is also an advantage. It is essential to note that work performed must be done safely while upholding Huon's Values. The appointed person must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits

Our salary package includes an estimated annual income of $60,000 - $80,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
