Design Innovator Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our Editing API team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of high-quality, scalable APIs that enhance the design functionality of Canva's Editor.

You will play a key role in shaping and driving the development of innovative solutions that empower developers to extend the capabilities of the Canva Editor.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable APIs and frameworks that have a significant impact on Canva's user base.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and alignment.

  • Leverage your expertise to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.

  • Communicate complex technical ideas effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Break down complex projects and deliver them efficiently.

Requirements:
  • Frontend Stack Experience:

  • API/SDK Design Experience:

  • Experience in designing and developing internal or external APIs and SDKs to enhance developer productivity and velocity.

  • Strong understanding of computer science principles, including asynchronous programming, data structures, solution design, and design patterns.

  • Performance Debugging & Benchmarking:

  • A passion for optimizing performance and troubleshooting issues.

  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team and communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
