Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Horticulture Trainee to join our team in the Parks and Gardens division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and development of our parks and gardens, ensuring they remain beautiful and safe for our community to enjoy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily maintenance of parks and gardens, including pruning, weeding, and fertilising plants.
  • Conduct inspections of parks and gardens to identify areas requiring attention.
  • Participate in the development of new park and garden projects, including designing and implementing landscape plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and monitor equipment and supplies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent qualification.Proven experience in horticulture, preferably in a local government setting.Strong communication and teamwork skills.The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
