Avionic Technician Role

Job Summary: We are seeking skilled technicians to work on aeronautical component production within defence aviation safety regulations.

About the Job:

As an Avionic/Mechanical Technician, you will undertake scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. You will achieve trade supervisor authorisation for component and equipment maintenance activities, repair and/or bay service of repairable items, and modify parts or higher assemblies as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks on a variety of aircraft systems.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and repair of complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and components to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve technical issues and improve process efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry developments and best practices in avionics and mechanical systems.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics) or national equivalent qualification, previous experience in Aircraft or workshop maintenance, and user familiarity with the ADF Computer Aided Maintenance Management 2 (CAMM2) system.
