Job Description

The Officer Safety Technical Capability Lead Executive is a key role in driving technology and practical solutions to support global operations.

This position manages a small team responsible for developing and enabling Officer Safety capability, including testing, construction, deployment and maintenance of capabilities and systems, as well as planning deployment schedules and work procedures.

The Officer Safety Capability Team Leader will be responsible for major project management for capability development, premises planning and design, Operations Centre management, enterprise level solutions and broader Officer Safety strategy supporting operational deployments.

Effective communication skills are essential for communicating technical concepts to various audiences. The role requires a dynamic team player who enjoys working with stakeholders, team members and individually on projects.

The following are the core responsibilities and tasks:

  • Provide direct support to operational planning and deployments;
  • Manage infrastructure projects for operational monitoring at remote sites;
  • Manage installed and future Operations Centre infrastructure;
  • Manage IT equipment and hardware and software assets globally;
  • Work closely with international partners, vendors and contractors to ensure OS systems are resilient, secure and fit-for-purpose.

The ideal candidate will have excellent coordination and administration skills, relevant technical experience in tracking and secure communications platforms, and relevant formal tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications.
