About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at AkzoNobel. This role will report to our Logistics Manager and be based in our Victoria manufacturing and office facility in Sunshine North.

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you'll be responsible for managing the transport and distribution of finished goods from our Sunshine Site to customers or other warehouses. You'll also oversee the movement of raw materials in and out of the store, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to meet schedules relied upon by interfacing departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Development – Develop individual team members and build a team capable of delivering on company targets.
  • Inventory Accuracy – Manage the safe, proper, and timely storage of raw materials and finished goods, investigating stock discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Pre-Batching – Coordinate the pre-batching of raw materials for the Paint & Powder plants daily to minimize production delays due to material shortages.
  • Support – Contribute to the formulation of site objectives from a logistics perspective, ensuring site capabilities, constraints, and HSE considerations are incorporated into the site plan.
  • Communicate Strategy – Ensure the business strategy is cascaded to the team effectively, aligning focus and providing relevant information.

What We Need

Ideally, you'll have the following qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualified or higher
  • 3-5 years' experience in warehouse and distribution
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities, with a drive for results and quality orientation
  • Resilience, able to work under pressure with minimal supervision, and a strong focus on sustainability, quality, and safety
