We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Kitchen Attendant. This is a casual position requiring approximately 15-25 hours per week with a mix of day and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and food areas, adhering to workplace health and safety guidelines, and operating commercial equipment. A physically active routine and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential qualities for this role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Thorough cleaning of dishes, cutlery, crockery, and kitchen utensils;
  • Efficient cleaning of kitchen/food areas and equipment;
  • Pot and kitchenware washing;
  • Operation of commercial dishwasher and kitchen equipment;
  • Movement and disposal of waste;
  • Restocking of pantry and cool room items;
  • Mopping and general cleaning of the kitchen and storage areas.

  • Thrives in a busy environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work tasks;
  • Reliable and motivated;
  • Ability to adapt to changes in workflow and follow verbal or written instructions;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Knowledge of cleaning and food safety principles;
  • Confirmed experience in a food services environment.
