Expert IT Consultant for Mining Projects

The role of an Expert IT Consultant for Mining Projects requires a professional with in-depth knowledge of mine site operations and the ability to analyse IT needs and requirements for mining growth projects.

Key responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the technical and financial viability of proposed IT infrastructure solutions, facilitating the design and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions for mining projects, and coordinating with other IT professionals to ensure smooth delivery and integration of IT infrastructure components.

This position demands strong leadership and project management skills, as well as the ability to build relationships with internal and external teams, identify and address risks, and perform under pressure.

As an Expert IT Consultant, you will play a crucial role in delivering successful IT infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Requirements:
  • Significant onsite experience in the mining or other resource industry in a technical lead or support supervisor role.
  • Experience in architecture/design of IT Infrastructure, compute & storage, and radio communications is essential.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, or related fields are highly regarded, as are formal qualifications in project management methodology such as PMBOK, PMP, or PRINCE2.
  • Able to solve problems with a flexible and consultative approach in an environment with changing scope and uncertainty.
