About the Project Manager Role

This position is responsible for overseeing Site Supervisors across various projects. The successful candidate will be fully accountable for planning, organizing, and managing assigned project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 4-6 Site Supervisors to achieve project objectives.
  • Review project plans, schedules, and specifications, providing comments on construction design, scheduling, cost savings measures, and potential construction problems.
  • Forecast operational requirements, allocate labor and trade resources on assigned projects, ensuring optimal labor performance.
  • Monitor construction crew and subcontractor performance, ensuring alignment with scope of works.
  • In conjunction with the Construction Manager, attend site meetings, liaise with clients, contractors, or subcontractors to discuss projects, and resolve issues.
  • Schedule material ordering and quantity takeoffs.
  • Monitor cost control, liaising with the Construction Manager on potential issues.
  • Identify, analyze, and report on variations.
OHSE&Q Management
  • Regularly inspect construction sites to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
  • Maintain control and responsibility for security and operations of company-owned vehicles, equipment, plant, and tools, in conjunction with Site Supervisors.
  • Maintain high-quality construction standards and quality control of OH&S practices.
  • Ensure confidential information and documentation are secured at all times.
  • Implement client management systems across assigned projects, recommending potential changes to increase efficiency.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' field experience in a similar role.
  • Civil Engineering Degree.
  • Experience in Bridge and Concrete Structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across South Australia.
  • Excellent supervision, organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of Australian Construction industry's codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Full-time position, remuneration based on skills and experience.
  • Meet any requirements necessary to safely perform the role.
