The Licensed B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of aircraft operations. This position involves overseeing maintenance tasks assigned by the Chief Engineer while adhering to the highest standards of compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Textron's manuals and procedural guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and safety protocols.
- Promote a culture of safety, aiming for a zero-harm environment through active participation in safety initiatives.
- Report safety-related issues in accordance with the Safety Management System (SMS) and suggest improvements.
- Supervise maintenance personnel and ensure accurate completion of aircraft certification paperwork.
- Issue Maintenance Releases in compliance with established guidelines.
- Prepare detailed and precise reports regarding inspections and parts management.
- Conduct diagnostic and mechanical tasks on various aircraft models, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Possess knowledge of inspection procedures as outlined in maintenance manuals.
- Certify maintenance activities within the scope of delegated authority.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks meet operational requirements and high-quality standards.
- Participate in aircraft recovery operations as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hangar and equipment.
- Follow lawful instructions from the Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A CASA license for at least one category of aircraft relevant to this role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
- Acceptance by the Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager.
This position is essential for maintaining the operational integrity and safety of aircraft, contributing to Textron's legacy in aviation excellence.
