Instrument Processing Specialist

Our team seeks an experienced and skilled Instrument Processing Specialist to join our healthcare services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, packing, and sterilization of medical instruments in accordance with AS 4187.

Key Responsibilities
  • The processing of medical instruments for sterilization and the operation of associated equipment under the delegation of a senior technician or manager.
  • Ensure the proper use of chemicals as per manufacturers' guidelines.
  • Utilize instrument processing equipment effectively.
  • Conduct equipment performance tests and document results accurately.
  • Process and maintain instrument and equipment inventory.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all medical instrumentation requiring reprocessing.
  • Manage sterile supplies efficiently.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies.
  • Ensure safe storage and handling of non-sterile and sterile stock.
