About the Job
Aliaxis is a global leader in high-quality piping & fitting solutions for use in various applications. The Distribution Centre Manager will oversee both on-site and off-site operations at our Townsville facility.

This critical role requires a hands-on professional to manage a dynamic team, drive safety, operational performance, and team development while ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Lead safety as a core value across the site, including the yard and operations. Champion compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Operational Leadership: Achieve cost, KPI, and service metrics. Optimise service levels, productivity, and cost reductions.
  • Team Management: Lead a small team with a focus on coaching, development, and performance. Foster a positive, learning-oriented culture.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Handle customer inquiries and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and 3PL transport providers.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-possible operational and customer outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a Supply Chain, Warehouse and Distribution environment, running distribution centres in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to manage both inbound and outbound logistics, reporting, compliance and project management of improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with WMS systems (ERP highly regarded), inventory control, and load planning.
  • Knowledge of lean management principles and chain of responsibility (COR) regulations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, experienced in coaching and mentoring others to develop and get the best out of the team.
  • Highly effective planning and organisation skills, with strong time management, and coordination skills, have a sense of urgency, results focused, with an analytical mindset.
  • Able to work autonomously as part of a team with a collaborative style, is positive, resilient, innovative and challenges the status quo.
