About the role

At Pyramid Global Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for driving Test Automation and Performance Testing strategy, coaching and mentoring junior and senior QAs, and reducing Regression Cycle time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining automated test scripts using API Automation frameworks such as Spec flow and Postman, and Mobile Automation frameworks such as Appium and XCUITEST.
  • Designing and implementing Performance Testing tools like JMeter and Load Runner.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs.
  • Providing input to team processes and ensuring adherence to Agile and Lean delivery principles.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming fundamentals and demonstrable experience in component, Integration, and system testing.
  • Strong experience in API Automation frameworks and MS SQL Server.
  • Good JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5/CSS3 skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, DevOps, and automation.
  • Understanding of web security (OWASP TOP10) and experience in Accessibility Testing.

Preferred skills include:

  • Azure experience or another cloud provider.
  • Experience in developing applications with ASP.NET core.
  • Experience with event streaming, service bus, or message queues (Azure Event Hubs/Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
  • Working with Docker containers.
  • Experience in working with NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of micro-service, cloud computing services (Azure is preferred), transaction, and documented datastores and scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell.
