Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in our Townsville Depot.

As a key member of our workshop team, you'll be responsible for conducting all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles.

This includes brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles are essential.
  • An exceptional eye for detail is required to ensure high-quality work.
  • You'll need to complete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing.
  • A HR licence is preferred but not essential.
  • A good mechanical aptitude is crucial for success in this role.
  • Demonstrate a professional and outcome-focused approach to your work.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary to build rapport with stakeholders.
  • A commitment to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service is essential.
