Job Overview

A highly experienced C# developer is required to join our Core Trading Technology team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing and developing business-critical applications using C#.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C# development, with experience in server-side systems and client-side development. Previous experience with WPF, ReactJS and TypeScript is an advantage.

The role involves working closely with traders, quantitative analysts and other software developers to deliver high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will be committed to innovation and continuous improvement of the capability of the Core Trading Technology team and applications.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Analysis, design and development of business-critical applications.
  2. Taking projects through the entire software development cycle from requirements gathering to production release.
  3. Committed to innovation with a strong interest in learning and working with new technologies.
  4. Continuous improvement of the capability of the Core Trading Technology team and applications (through technology, automation and other means).
Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  1. A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a technical or related discipline.
  2. 5+ years of C# experience in server-side systems (ideally with multi-threading) as well as client side development. Previous WPF experience is an advantage.
  3. Understanding of web technologies, HTML and JavaScript. Previous experience with ReactJS and TypeScript is an advantage.
  4. Previous experience running and deploying .NET Core applications on Linux is an advantage.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with traders, quantitative analysts, and other software developers.
  6. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
  7. An experienced C# developer with knowledge of: design, profiling, OO, multi-threading, user-interface development with experience on both the client & server side.
  8. Experience of real-time applications (especially with Tibco RV) would be advantageous.
  9. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and a thorough understanding of the full software development life-cycle. Ideally with solid experience in an Agile environment.
  10. Good collaboration and mentoring skills to help junior team members grow.
