Teach and Inspire Young Minds in Musical Theatre

Our program is seeking an experienced and passionate Musical Theatre Program Director to lead a 5-day program for children aged 6-11.

The program will culminate in the creation and performance of a scene or musical for parents to enjoy on the final day. We are looking for someone who can plan and organize daily rehearsals, workshops, and activities to engage and inspire young kids.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching acting, singing, and dancing techniques to children, as well as strong knowledge of musical theatre. A bachelor's degree in Musical Theatre/ Performing Arts is preferred, but not required.

We are offering a part-time, casual position with a competitive hourly rate. The expected hours per week are 25-30, and the job requires a WWCC.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize daily rehearsals, workshops, and activities to engage and inspire young kids.
  • Teach basic acting, singing, and dancing techniques, and provide guidance and support to help children develop their performance skills.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff members, to coordinate rehearsals and ensure smooth production flow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Musical Theatre/ Performing Arts, or related field.
  • Previous experience working with children in a theatrical setting, such as teaching drama classes, directing productions, or leading theatre camps.
  • Strong knowledge of musical theatre, including acting, singing, and dancing techniques.
