About the Role
- Develop effective linkages with internal staff, other work units, government and non-government partners, and stakeholders to ensure identified service needs and issues are reflected in policies, procedures, and resources.
- Provide high-level analysis, advice, and plans on innovative approaches to managing delivery of asset management services, including new trends and business processes that support planning and direction of portfolio management strategies.
- Manage the development, implementation, and delivery of property asset management programs and initiatives, including renewal/refurbishment programs aligned with neighbourhood level planning.
- Apply knowledge of contemporary building products, current Australian Standards, and Building Codes when providing technical advice and property solutions related to buildings and structures.
- Coordinate and facilitate the department's response to incidents involving property insurance processes, such as natural disasters, fire, theft, and flood.
- Assess works for value for money and administer approval processes for projects in accordance with departmental financial delegations.
- Assist and provide ongoing support to service areas and agencies regarding overall property asset management functions.
- Conduct audits and reviews on property condition data and conditional appraisals, as well as processes and procedures associated with these tasks.
