Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Ability Action Australia. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with our clients to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

About the Role

This is a part-time or full-time opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be responsible for managing a caseload and providing therapeutic services to our clients. You will also be required to assess participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardized assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload and complete therapeutic services
  • Assess participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based
  • Provide support and advice on adaptations to the environment
  • Recommend provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and promote independence
Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Genuine passion for working in the disability sector
