Job Summary:

Ultradynamix is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team as a Midrange UNIX Technical Writer. As a key member of our documentation team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation that supports our Midrange UNIX projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, fact sheets, Standard Operating Procedures, user guides, and quick reference guides.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and author technical documentation.
  • Maintain version controls to ensure consistency, compliance, and accuracy of technical documentation and knowledge articles.
  • Experience in gathering information for and authoring technical and business process documentation relating to Midrange UNIX Standard Operating Environments and Platforms.
  • Select, adopt, and adapt appropriate process definition and management methods, tools, and techniques to deliver technical and business process documentation and specifications.
  • Creating and maintaining solution documents.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define tasks, resolve issues, solve problems, and ensure effective and timely implementation of projects.
  • Peer and quality reviews of documents.
  • Review research, process models, and documentation of other staff, providing guidance and feedback to resolve or escalate issues as required and suggest alternative approaches and solutions.
  • Obtain input from, and agreement to technical and business process requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Midrange UNIX operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Solaris, IBM AIX, and platforms such as IBM Power PC, Oracle SPARC, VMware, Openstack/Openshift.
  • Experience with technical documentation tools and methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
