Cyber Security Professional


This role requires a strong understanding of security principles to safeguard Australia's future. Cyber Security Professionals play a crucial part in delivering complex defence projects, ensuring the country's national security and stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement automated scanning technologies to deliver timely security assessments, including business case development and executive endorsement.
  • Review vendor security documentation to support certification and accreditation processes across Defence systems.
  • Develop consistent testing methodologies and validate security controls in design and Digital Twin environments.
  • Liaise with Defence stakeholders to support ATO/ATO-C accreditation and maintain compliance with AISM, DSPF, and PSPF frameworks.
  • Conduct risk assessments, recommend mitigation strategies, and respond to security advisories to strengthen system security posture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Cybersecurity Compliance – Strong grasp of AISM, DSPF, PSPF, and risk management.
  • Security Testing & Automation – Skilled in automated scans and control validation.
  • Accreditation & Documentation – Experienced in ATO processes and reviewing security documents.
  • Strategic Planning – Capable of business case development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Threat Intelligence – Able to act on vendor advisories and improve system security.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
