About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Coach to join our team at SYC. As an Employment Coach, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their career goals and gain sustainable employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Participants to Employers: Develop and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities and achieve sustainable employment outcomes for participants.
  • Referral and Support: Ensure timely referral to employment opportunities, vocational training, employment activities, and non-vocational programs to support participants in achieving their employment goals.
  • Professional Knowledge and Advice: Develop and maintain professional knowledge of the Disability Employment Services Contract, local labor market, and local support services to provide expert advice and guidance to participants and employers.
  • Post Placement Support: Provide thorough post-placement support to employers and participants to ensure successful employment outcomes and address any challenges that may arise.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and conduct effective presentations.
  • Self-Motivation and Initiative: Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative, with well-developed organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Interpersonal and Conflict Resolution Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to identify innovative solutions to problems.
  • Previous Experience in Disability Employment Services: Previous experience in the Disability Employment Services industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong Customer Service Experience: Possess strong customer service experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to participants and employers.
