About the Role
The East Coast Apprenticeships team is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Carpentry Apprenticeship program. As a Carpentry Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, from new home builds and renovations to refurbishments and commercial projects.
You will work under the guidance of qualified tradespeople, developing your skills in construction and carpentry. Your responsibilities will include constructing wall and ceiling frames, pitches roofs, eaves and external stairs, laying sub-flooring and floorboards, nailing fascia panels, fitting exterior wall cladding, doors and windows, measuring materials, and using a variety of hand and power tools.
To be considered for this apprenticeship, you must have an interest and commitment to work in construction, a White Card or the ability to obtain one ASAP, a current Driver's License, and reliable transportation. Certificate I or II in Construction is advantageous, as is work experience within the construction industry. You must also be physically fit, self-disciplined, and have high attention to detail.
