About the Role

  • Manage Kitchen Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Lead the Team: Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff to achieve high standards of quality and service.
  • Menu Development: Plan and develop menus that meet the hotel's standards and requirements, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory, control wastage, and ensure accurate stock takes.
  • Financial Management: Ensure food costing and wage budgets are achieved, and monitor revenue targets.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with local Health department regulations and hotel standards.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Cookery: Hold a Certificate IV in Cookery or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Have at least 3 years' experience as a chef, with extensive and proven industry experience.
  • Skills: Possess exceptional levels of cleanliness and organisation, as well as management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Team Player: Be a team player, able to work in a busy environment and motivate staff to achieve high standards.

What We Offer
