Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Dams team in Australia. The successful candidate will contribute to feasibility studies, design, construction, and asset management, collaborating with specialists nationally and internationally to develop sustainable water solutions.
About the OpportunityThis role will involve:
- Mechanical engineering design for dam operations and equipment integration, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Inspecting, investigating and assessing the condition of existing dams to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Providing construction support services, including inspecting works, evaluating quality control and quality assurance data, and preparing construction reports.
- Preparing tenders and proposals, as well as providing mentoring and guidance to junior engineers.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Demonstrated capability in mechanical design, including the preparation of design reports, design drawings and specifications, ideally within the dam industry.
- A positive attitude and ability to see challenges as opportunities to innovate, collaborate and grow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, clients as well as the local industry.
