About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Drill Fitter to join our team at Mastermyne, a leading underground mining contractor. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of our heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on underground heavy equipment, including drill rigs and other machinery.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with our operations team to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our equipment and its operation, including CAT, Sandvik, and Volvo machinery.
  • Work closely with our safety team to ensure a strong focus on safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification in Diesel Fitting (essential).
  • Proven experience working on underground heavy equipment (essential).
  • Experience with CAT, Sandvik, and Volvo equipment an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong focus on safety and a positive attitude.
  • A current Australian Manual Drivers License.
  • A current National Police Clearance.
