RSM AUSTRALIA: Senior Accountant Position

As a Senior Accountant with RSM Australia, you will have the opportunity to work in a client-facing role with a broad range of responsibilities. Your key responsibilities will include analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities.

What You'll Do

• Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;
• Apply knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry;
• Assist graduates with work and act as a mentor/buddy;
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
• Prepare documents for client meetings with Partner;
• Help identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues;
• Prepare and analyze management accounting reports;
• Prepare income tax returns:
• Provide advice on various tax matters including GST, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax; and
• Provide general business advisory advice and support to a wide range of client groups

Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting Major. A completion of CA or equivalent is desirable.
