About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Guest Service Agent to join our dynamic Front Office team at Kingfisher Bay Resort on beautiful K'gari (Fraser Island). The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experience.

This is a permanent part-time position, and we are looking for someone with resort/hotel front desk experience. This is a live-on-island role where you work and live at Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet all incoming and outgoing guests to the resort – guest check-in and check-out process.
  • Accurately allocate rooms.
  • Welcome all guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Direct all guests to the appropriate check-in area.
  • Coordinate bus arrivals and guest arrivals, as required.
  • Manage phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Direct guests to rooms on arrivals.
  • Be familiar with room rates and reservation information.
  • Provide accurate and reliable information to guests.
  • Maintain guest accounts, billing arrangements, and payments on check-out.
  • Follow in-house policies and procedures to maintain guest security.
  • Take guest messages and ensure prompt delivery to rooms.
  • Assist guests with general inquiries.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A high level of customer service and work ethic.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role in a large hotel or resort-based environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in daily cashiering procedures and credit card reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of property management systems.
  • People management skills and an understanding of cultural diversity within the workplace.
