Trailer Mechanic Job Description

As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of trailers to ensure they are safe and efficient. This is a key role within our team, and we are seeking a skilled individual with a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Fitting axles and suspension components
  • Installing lights and electronic braking systems (EBS knowledge advantageous)
  • Performing wheel alignments using modern camera alignment systems
  • Working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems (highly desirable)
  • Adhering to high safety standards in all tasks

Responsibilities may include:

  • Maintaining trailers and equipment to ensure they are safe and efficient
  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing repairs
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Contributing to the development of new processes and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade qualification in Diesel, Trailer, or Light Vehicle Mechanics
  • HR Licence (desirable)
  • Forklift Ticket (desirable)
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems highly valued
