Senior Advisor Engineering Aids to Navigation Job Description

  • About the Role:
The Senior Advisor, Engineering Aids to Navigation (AtoN) will deliver expert technical support and oversight across the construction, maintenance, and repair of AtoN structures and systems. This includes ensuring robust engineering governance, optimising asset performance, and supporting the effective scheduling and delivery of project programs. You will lead and manage the AtoN engineering team, ensuring high-quality outputs, staff development, and welfare. Develop and implement strategic engineering policies, standards, and documentation. Oversee technical assessments, reports, and specifications related to AtoN infrastructure. Manage project planning, budgeting, and risk-based prioritisation for AtoN works. Provide expert engineering advice to support project delivery. Oversee lifecycle assessment, analysing asset condition and performance data to inform maintenance strategies. Manage technical documentation, qualified equipment lists, and modification control processes. Act as a technical authority and resolve complex engineering issues across business units. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, environmental standards, and WHS legislation.
