Secondary Educational Assistant

Job Title: Provide academic and social support to students with diverse needs.

Reports To: Building Principals and Classroom Teachers

Job Summary: Assist in creating a positive learning environment that promotes student achievement and inclusion. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students of various ages and abilities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with instructional tasks, social-emotional skill development, and activities of daily living.
  • Supervise students in all school settings ensuring their safety and security at all times.
  • Provide individualized support to students with disabilities and disabling conditions.
  • Assist with arrival and departure routines, including loading and unloading children from buses.

Required Skills And Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Criminal History Clearance.
  • Basic Computer/Technology Skills.
  • Ability to Meet Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Standards.
