Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Staff Engineer - Technical Leader to join our Horizon squad. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the technical direction of our frontend framework. Your expertise will drive the development of scalable, high-performance, and maintainable web applications, ensuring our platform remains at the forefront of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to the team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Drive the development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable frontend code, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Frontend Framework Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain the Horizon frontend framework, ensuring it remains cutting-edge and aligned with industry trends.
  • Work closely with the product team to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable components, libraries, and tools, promoting code reuse and efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration and Mentorship
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support to ensure their growth and success.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues, share knowledge, and promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Communication and Influence
  • Communicate technical ideas and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Influence technical decisions across the organization, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Represent the engineering team in cross-functional meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of commercial experience as a frontend specialist, with solid hands-on experience working with frontend frameworks.
  • 5+ years of commercial experience in React/TypeScript.
  • 5+ years of experience working with unit and integration testing patterns.
  • 5+ years of experience in software design and architecture.
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in designing and building distributed architectures that support modern web applications.
  • Experience with cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Team player mentality, quick on their feet, agile, and not afraid to speak up and voice their opinion.
