About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join UGL Pty Limited, a leading provider of end-to-end engineering, construction, and maintenance services, as a Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving improvements in HSSE performance, providing advice and support to ensure a safe and healthy workplace, and maintaining compliance with company and clients' policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and support to Site Management and Supervisors on HSSE reporting, analysis, and compliance.
  • Monitor and interpret relevant HSSE legislation, policies, and regulations to provide direction and advice to projects.
  • Inspect and audit project compliance to HSSE system requirements.
  • Assist in managing the implementation of return-to-work programs and procedures.
  • Design and deploy safety culture change initiatives to increase the focus and attention to safety and environment in the business.
  • Provide safety statistics on a weekly basis for inclusion in weekly and monthly reports.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification (Diploma or greater) in a Workplace Safety and Health related discipline.
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment and Incident investigation trained (ICAM preferable).
  • Nationally recognised training in confined space entry and working at heights.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Safety, Health, and Environmental in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
