Job Summary
Role Purpose:
This position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues on heavy construction machinery. The role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
- Key Responsibilities Include:
- Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify and rectify technical issues with heavy machinery and automotive systems.
- Technical Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
- Apprentice Training: Provide instruction and guidance to apprentices on trade practices and safety procedures.
- Tool Management: Maintain and calibrate tools of trade and special tools.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Clean and maintain company vehicles if supplied.
- Reporting: Record job details clearly and concisely, report quality-related problems or customer feedback to the service manager.
- Safety Procedures
- Workplace Safety: Have regard to health and safety of self and others in the workplace.
- Protective Equipment: Utilize provided protective equipment.
- Incident Reporting: Report unsafe conditions or unhealthy situations.
- Compliance: Adhere to company procedures for securing a healthy and safe place of work.
- Accident Investigation: Assist in investigating accidents to introduce measures preventing recurrence.
