Deputy Principal – Student Learning and Professional Excellence

This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a passionate and collaborative leader to join our college as Deputy Principal: Student Learning and Professional Practice. As part of our executive team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and professional culture of our school, ensuring that our standards for teaching, learning and professional growth remain exemplary.

You will be responsible for leading curriculum development, assessment, and innovative teaching practices that enhance student learning outcomes across various year levels. You will also mentor and support staff in professional growth, facilitating Professional Learning Teams and overseeing targeted professional development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional strategies to improve student learning outcomes.">
• Mentor and support staff in their professional growth, including facilitating Professional Learning Teams and overseeing targeted professional development programs.">
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.">
• Collaborate with teachers and other school leaders to implement effective teaching and learning strategies.">
• Monitor and report on student progress and achievement.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Postgraduate qualifications or a commitment to further study in Instructional Leadership and/or Educational Leadership.">
• Catholic Education Commission Victoria (CECV) Accreditation to teach in a Catholic School.">
• Demonstrated experience in leading curriculum development, assessment, and innovative teaching practices.">
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data-informed decision-making to improve student outcomes.">
• In-depth knowledge of contemporary educational practices, compliance requirements, and evidence-based approaches.">
• Ability to manage and develop the College timetable to support effective resource allocation and optimal learning outcomes.">
• An understanding of CESL's Magnify program and ability to embed evidence-based practices.">
