About The Role

The Mechanical Equipment Technician will report to the Head of Product Manufacturing, ensuring the effective maintenance of plant and equipment within the facility. This involves supporting the ongoing operation of a safe, clean, and compliant manufacturing environment by providing corrective and preventative maintenance.

This role entails:

  1. Performing routine maintenance and repairs to mechanical systems and equipment in compliance with GMP standards.
  2. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues.
  3. Monitoring equipment performance and identifying potential issues before they impact production.
  4. Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities in accordance with GMP, regulatory, and company policies.
  5. Overseeing the calibration, installation, and testing of new mechanical equipment.
  6. Collaborating closely with the production team.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  1. A relevant technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance within a regulated GMP environment (Pharma or Food Production).
  3. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment used in a manufacturing environment.
  4. Sound understanding of a GMP environment.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  6. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to lift up to 15kg and perform manual tasks such as carrying tools or parts.
  8. A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts if required to support operations.
  9. Relevant certifications in safety, maintenance, or specific mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, Refrigeration) is a plus.
