About the Role

The Ventilation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring sufficient ventilation is supplied to all underground mining areas across the Mungari Operation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting primary and secondary ventilation surveys to align with legislation and recording and reporting survey outcomes.
  • Maintaining Ventsim models for each minesite and completing ventilation planning for Life of Mine (LOM) requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimise the ventilation system, including ventilation on demand projects.
  • Being involved in Life of Mine (LOM) planning for the underground assets at Mungari.
  • Maintaining registers of all primary and secondary ventilation devices and ensuring all ventilation and gas measuring equipment is calibrated and repaired as required.
  • Working closely with the electrical department to ensure that ventilation fans are regularly maintained and kept in optimal condition.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have solid analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a high standard of work. Key attributes include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
  • 2+ years' experience working as a Ventilation Engineer.
  • Proven experience using Ventsim modelling software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills communicating numerical and graphical information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
  • A strong focus on safety and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
About the Opportunity

The position will be offered on a 5:2:4:3 residential roster or an 8:6, FIFO roster from Perth.
